INTERCHANGE OF TEACHERS

Under the heading of contact with educational administration abroad, tht> Committee recommends that the Domiuion should be represented at each Imperial Education Coufei-cnce by tho Director or Assistant Director of Education, or, in the event of their not being able to attend, by some other senior officer of the Department sent for that purpose; that every effort should be made to facilitate and extend the interchange of teachers, inspectors, and administrators with overseas countries, and particularly with Great Britain and the sistor Dominions; that a liaison educational research officer bo.appointed to the Department of Education, who shall be directly responsible to the Minister for the organisation, and maintenance of direct contact with overseas education research institutes, schools of education, and othor educational organisations of a like nature; and for the collection of data regarding educational research woTk both in the Dominion and overseas for the information of tho Minister, to whom he shall present reports from time to time as the Minister may require.
