FINAL RECOMMENDATIONS

The second and concluding part of the report of the Education Committee upon the reorganisation of education in the Dominion — jeferred to as the Atmore Report—was presented in the House of Representatives this afternoon. Some important recommendations Rre put forward in respect to post secondary education, training of teachers, higher technical education, the examination system for entrance to the university, health in schools, the setting of homework, training of backward children and the deaf, teachers' superannuation, interchange of teachers with other countries, religious training in schools, etc., and finally the meaf for effecting the change-over from the present to the new system as soon as possible.
