The completion of the purchase by tho Auckland Aero Club of the aerodrome at Mangere hitherto. leased by it was announced- to«day. by the club president, Mr. Spencer Mason, The price paid for the 80 acres involved in the puretiuo was & 7800. The vendor was Mr. W. M*Cra<3 Poaeook, It, is tho club's intention to extend the south-weitera boundary, and when trading. has been completed the aerorome will be suitable hot onlyfor light aeroplanes, but for two aitd three-Ott' gined aircraft, / Plans are also being prepared for a clubhouse to cater for the social side of the club's activities.
