ENGLAND AT THE OVAL

(Received 13th August, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, I2th August The newspapers learn that thirteen English players will be invited to attend at the Oval on Saturday for! the fifth and final Test match against the Australians, which will be played to a finish. It is understood that the thirteen are: Hobbs, Sutcliffe, Whysall, Duleepsinhji, Hammond, Wyalt, Leyland, Tate, Larwood, Peebles, Duckworth, Parker, and Ames. Wyatt, who was appointed this year captain of Warwickshire, will be captain of the Test team in the place of Chapman, who is not included in the team. Wyatt did well in India in 1924 playing for the English team, and next year played in all five Test matches in South Africa. The choice of thirteen players has been made, it is understood, to enable the selectors to field a team good for either a dry or a wet wicket.
