THE LAST COURT
NEW ZEALANDERS PRESENTED

The King and Queen hold the lifth and last Court of the season 011 10th July. An interesting feature of the occasion was the appearance of Princess Takamatsu, in a wonderful gown of silver, who joined the members of tho Boyal Family in the Boyal Circle. Queen Mary wore a gown of powderblue and silver 'brocado with silver and pearl embroidery, with n train to match. Her Majesty's ornaments were 11 diamond tiara, diamond collar and sautoir, the Koh-i-noor, the Lesser Stars of Africa, the Order of the Garter, and famUy Orders. Princess Mary, Countess of Harewood, was in a becoming gown of palo green chiffon, the bodice embroidered with beads and diamante. A train of silver tissue and silver lace was lined with green. Her ornaments were diamonds and emeralds.
Lady Wilford was iv a graceful gown or orchid mauve lace, cut in flowing lines, with a train of chiffon and lace in the same colour. New Zealanders who were presented by Lady Wilford were: Mrs. Heathcote B. Williams- (Gisborne), Miss Noel Booth and Miss Nancy Morrison. (Masterton), the Misses Joyce aiid, Thyra Gill, Isabel Young and J. Kennedy (Wellington),: and Miss W. Averill (Auckland). Mrs. lleatheote Williams had a lovely gown of parchment-toned ring velvet cut on princess lines. Train of the same material was lined with chiffon to tone, and was handsomely embroidered with a classical design in pearls. Ornaments wore a string of pearls, a large drop surrounded by diamonds ou a platinum chain. An effective colour-touch was imparted by a large fan of ostrich feathers in jade green, while a handbag of parchment shade . was thickly embroidered with jade-hued beads. Miss Averill was in a gown of deep cream mousseline' do soic, with scmi-Utting corsage and flared skirt made in cascades. The train of deep cream satin was draped from shoulders, trimmed with rings of flesh-tinted rosebuds tied: with gold lame. A bouquet of fleshtinted roses was carried. Miss Isabel Young was in ivory .georgette, the'corsage daintily embroidered' with silver and jewels, and the skirt cut with a soft godet effect. A train, also of georgette, was adorned with delicate tracery of embroidery. Miss Joyce Gill chose parchment satin with train of silver tissue. Miss Thyra Gill was in ivory tulle over satin, with train of silver. The former had a bouquet of roses, the latter a bouquet of lilies of the valley. Others present of New Zealand interest included Lady Baden-Powell, Lady Nina Knowles, Lady Caroline OgilvieGrant. Lady Baden-Powell wore a deep peach georgette gown, embroidered with crystal and peacb satin, and the train, of peach-coloured satin was lined with georgette. Lady Nina Knowles was in a dress of softest grey chiffon velvet, the corsage embroidered with diamante Tho train of velvet veiled in silver lace and embroidered with diamante had a lining of silver lame. Lady Caroline Ogilvie-Grant was in a gown or gold lace built on classical lines. Tho train of velvet in a soft golden shade was lined with lame.
