A low-nresaurc centre of slight Intensity crossed the North Island yesterday, and a feeble anti-cyclone now appears to be approaching from the westward. There has consequently been a slight rise of pressure over the Dominion, while to tho cast it has fallen. A deep depression is located near Hobarf. Winds this morning are rather more generally southerly. No strong winds have been reported. Except in the western and southern portions of (lie South Island, dull and misty weather was' tho rule yesterday, but this morning a general improvement -has taken place. Scattered rains wero recorded, the heaviest being a further fail of 1.31 inches at Castlepolnt.
