THE EDUCATION REPORT
OLD BOYS AT AUCKLAND
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day.
Tho Old Boys' Association of Auckland Grammar School in a considered and hostile oprion of the Education Report invites the support "not only a£ the old boys of the Auckland Grammar School but of the old boys of all our historical State secondary schools to repel this attack on the schools to which we owe so much." In the course of a long resolution, the association asserts that the report displays unexpected hostility' to the school spirit and tradition, and anxiety to destroy the school'prestige. ;. . Amongst other objections, it. says: "Tho proposed hording of all teachers \ into one class will depreciate the qualifications of secondary teachers and make education . dead thing without tho life-blood of personal interest,"
