Oastlepoint has had 507 points, making a total of 828 points for the past 48 hours. Cape Palliser reports 110 points. In the South Island the rain has been only light.
Auckland, with mainly moderate westerly winds, had somewhat changeable ■ weather yesterday. It was foggy oarly, but the fog soon cleared, and tho rest of the morning was fine. In tho afternoon and night showery conditions prevailed. Wellington again experienced dull, misty conditions. There was little wind or rain during the day, but a south-easterly freshened in the evening, when some rain fell, the total fall being 10 points.
