The New Zealand local price is generally superior to that realised for export eggs most carefully graded and packed. Australia is again activo in the export side of the business. First shipments of. eggs to London from Australia are getting away. Alterations in the regulations governing the export of eggs have been made. A new pack has been introduced. This m a 13541b pack, which must contain eggs of a minimum weight of l%oz. Provision is also made for a 141b pack containing eggs of not less than l%oz, and.not more than 2oz, and for a 151b pack of eggs between 1 7-Soz to 2 l-Boz. The new pack should permit a greater quantity of eggs to be brought vritHin the export regulations. Under the regulations it is necessary to stamp eggs with the word "Australia." The export season may not in itself be very profitable, but the stability of the local market for cpss depends largely upon the quantities sent.
