RATEPAYERS' MEETING TOMORROW NIGHT
A meeting of ratepayers will be held in the Chamber of' Commerce Hall to-morrow (Tuesday) evening to record a protest against the Wellington City Council's Betterment Bill. The City Ratepayers-Assoc-iation _was formed last week with the object of organising opposition to tho Betterment Bill, winch it claims has many actual and potential dangers to ratepayers. Consideration will also be given to the everincreasing rate burden, to general questions of city administration, and to the question of what action should be taken to prevent city loans being raised without the sanction of ratepayers. Tho meeting is called for Tuesday at 8 p.m. (not tonight, as previously announced).
