OTTAWA, 9th August,
A Toronto message states, that Percy Williams, of Vancouver, by winning the 100 metres in 10 B.*losoc, set a world record at the Canadian track and field championships. Ho beat five Canadian sprinters.
A Quebec message states that, headed by Jack Beresford, en route to the Empire Games at Hamilton,' an outstanding group of British oarsmen and scullers'arrived there from England on Friday.
The party included Oxford and Cambridge rowing Blues and I' 1. Bradley.
The previous world's 100 mcltres record, wns 10 2-ssec, by Charles Paddock in California in 11)21.
