MASKED BANDITS
BUS HELD UP IN SYDNEY
CONDUCTOR'S CASH BAG TAKEN
(Received 11th August, 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A daring holdup took place in the suburb oil Newtown. Two masked bandits jumped-on a crowded bus about midnight 'and at the revolver point bailed up the driver and conductor, at the same time ordering the passengers to kecp^their seats. The driver, James Bowe, was commanded not to stop the vehicle, and the conductor, Edward Burns, was forced to relinquish a bag containing about £15. In tho moan* jimo the passengers were in a panic, I wo women fainting. While the bus was still in motion tho robbers Iwipod clear and made a get-ii-way.
