MISSING MAN'S DEATH
HOUSE BY THE SEA.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHEISTCHUROH, 10th August. Grantley Norton, a well-known Christ-ehiu-ch business man, who lived at 41, Cashel .s.treet, was found dead in an empty house at 22G, The Esplanade, New Brighton, yesterday. He was lying near a gas stove, which was turned on. Norton, who had been missing for several days, called on a TSevf Brighton Jand agent on Friday,, saying that he wished to take a house. The agent gave him the keys to the house where his body was found. He returned the keys, saying that ho would take the house and would call for the keys again. Between 1 and 2 o'clock yesterday, some friends arrived, at the agent's office inquiring after the missing man. The agent gave them the keys to the house, an^ when they arrived there they found Norton lying dead.in the rear of the house near a. gas stove, a jet ot which;was turned on. ; ;
