TWO SUCCESSFUL PARTIES
, A dance at the Adelphi Cabaret concluded the annual reunion held by Scots' College Old Boys' Association, about two hundred guests being present. Mrs. J. R. Suteliffe (wife of the principal of the college), Mrs.-L. B. M'Kelvie, and Mrs. A. P. Smith were hostesses for the party, and tho committee included Messrs. J. Living, J. M'Kelvic, Pearson, and Scotland. The party was a most enjoyable one. Among those present were Mrs. Horace Smith, Misses E. Martin, F. Waterworth, M. Robinson, Wells, N. Gray, Wallis, Lovegrove, J. Silby P. Reid Wiggins, Kirkley, Black, M. Fraser and Joliffe.
A pleasant evening was spent recently when the parents of pupils attending Chilton House School gave a dancing and bridge party. The schoolhouse at Island Bay was brightly decorated for the function, greenery, flowers, balloons, and streamers being ÜBed effectively. Mrs. Ward, the principal (in black, beaded in silver) Mrs. W. Preshaw (black velvet, with cloth of gold), Mrs. T. K. Asher (black georgette beaded in green), wore tho hostesses, and there was a largo attendance of guests. Among these were Mr. and Mrs. WhiteParsons (Takapan), Mr. and Mrs. Semple, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Poison, Colonel .and Mrs. Maedonald, Mr. and Mrs. D. Harrower, Mr. and Mrs. Perkins, Mesdames Gray, Dufanr, Taylor, A. M. Duncan, Misses Ward,-Duff, D. Poison, M. Blythe, K. Millar, Paisley, Paulsen (2), and many others.
