A LECTURE ON A WONDERFUL JOURNEY.
Xn aid of the British. Empire Cancer Fund, a lecture of unusual and outstanding interest will be given this evening in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, by Mr. Hector MacQuarrie, the well-known author and traveller, whose remarkable book, "We and the Baby," attracted such widespread interest.- The journey made in a' diminutive two-seater car by Mr. MacQuarrie and his companion, Mr. Dick Matthews, through the wildest parts of Australia, stands out as one of the greatest feats of its kind ever performed. The endurance and perseverance of these two men in face of appalling obstacles, and the astounding efficiency and stamina ot the little car in which they made tlie journey, called forth the highest praise tw>m all quarters.
