WEDDINGS

The wedding was celebrated recently, at St. Andrew's Church, Welliugton, of Effie, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. R. A. Cameron, Paraparaumu, and Kenneth, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry RixTrott, Wellington. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Shirer. The bride wore a frock of beige lace and georgette, with a beige hat, and she carried a sheath of golden freesias and orchids. The bridesmaid, Miss Wolverston, wore lemon floral georgette, with a hat to match, and she carried a bouquet of" lemon and orange Iceland poppies. Mr. Noel Rix-Trott -was best man. After the wedding, Dr. and Mrs. Cameron held a reception and gave a luncheon at the Adelphi Cabaret. Mrs. Cameron wore black satin trimmed with apricot, a black silk coat, and ■ a black bangkok hat; her bouquet was of mauve cyclamen and violets. Mrs. Rix-Trott's frock was of floral satin beaute, and she wore a' fur-trimmed coat and a black hat. She carried a bouquet of red cyclamen and violets. Unfortunately, Mrs. Allan Cameron, sen., the bride's grandmother, who arrived in Wellington Harbour on the ship Blenheim on 31st December, 1840, was Unable to be present at the wedding. The bride and bridegroom left later for Auckland en route to Suva, Fiji, where they will reside.
