DUTCH WARSHIPS
A VISIT, m PROSPECT
A letter received from the Under-Seere-tary o£ Internal Affairs at yesterday's meeting of the Wellington branch, of the Navy League gave particulars of the coming visit of three Dutch warships, the cruiser Sumatra and two destroyers, to New Zealand waters. The squadron is to be at Wellington from 17th to 21st October and at Auckland from 24th to 28th October. The Sumatra carried 30 officers and 460 men, and each of the destroyers carried 10 officers and 116 men. The Government would extend the usual courtesies to the visitors.. The secretary, Mr. E. Darroch, said that in all probability the Navy League would hold a dance for the men in_ the Town Hall, and a dance for the officers in the Adelphi Cabaret.
