GERMANY'S MEMORIAL
LONDON, 30th June.
A -national memorial for tho Gorman dead in tho Great War, serving until a larger project has been fulfilled, will be placed in a building known as the '' New AVateh'' courthouse, says the Berlin correspondent of "The Times."
It was erected at the eastern end of the Unter don Linden a century ago in the form of a Eoman atrium. Its open courtyard will be roofed, forming a rectangular chamber, in the centre of which will bo a six-foot stone pedestal, carrying a golden wreathj upon, which the daylight -will fall through an opening on the roof.
Tall torch-holders will be installed beside the pedestal. Otherwise the chamber will bo bare. Tho consecration is expected to take place in November next.
