SAILONS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
Last night's concert arranged by Miss C. Conlon at the Sailors' Friend Society proved a bright spot in the lives of men far from home. She and her helpers were given rousing cheers and encores. The performers wefe: Mrs. Hibberd, Misses E. Jupp, C. Conlon, Roma Bitossi, Kyra Jupp, and Messrs. Anderson, Arrol Muir, H. Pope, T. Forrester, Bacon, and Williams. Miss C. Conlon was at the piano. "Could this have been?" was the title of Mr. J. Moore's address. Pledges were added to the books. Refreshments were served by the hostess and her helpers. Competitions added to the pleasures of the evening; the prizes came from the hostess.
