GOLF COUNCIL
LIST OF TOURNAMENTS
The monthly meeting of the council was held on the 4th August, when there were present:—Sir Alexander Roberts (chairman), Messrs. W. A. Kiely, M. J. Crombie, L. O. H. Tripp, and G. O. Sutton (secretary). Apologies for absence -were received from Mr. A. D. S. Duncan and Colonel R. 0. Chesney. A recently formed club near Rotorua, the Mamaku Golf Club, was elected a member of the association. Slight alterations to the championship programme, already published, -were confirmed. The secretary of the Colt Professionals' Association, J. A. Clements, wrote that the grading list of the professionals was being prepared. The following tournaments were notified to the association: — Hutt Club, winter tournament, 7th, Sth, and 10th August. Harewood Club, North Canterbury amateur championship tournament, 23rd and 24th August. Rotorua Club, open amateur championship and handicap tournament, 20th August to 20th August (inclusive).

Australian open, amateur, and professional championships, Metropolitan Links, Oakleigh, Melbourne, Oth September to 18th September. Dannevirke Club, annual tournament, 18th, 10th, and 20th September. Manawatu Club, annual tournament 22nd, 23rd, and 24th September. Wanganui Club, Oth, 10th, and 11th October. Hamilton, South Auckland, and Waikato championships, 9th,loth, and 11th October. New Zealand ladies' championship (Heretaunga,- Wellington), 16th to 23rd October (inclusive). Seafiold-Club, animal tournament, 25th, 271 li, and 28th October.
