MISHAP TO BUTLER
PROPELLER DAMAGED
LANDING AT POSEN
[ (Received 28th July, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, 27th July. A mishap befell Alan Butler on landing at Posen yesterday in the Circuit of Europe air race, and, although he was uninjured, the propeller was damaged and he was unable to leave for Warsaw until it was repaired. He was first to reach Poscn, but owing to the delay the German pilot Poss took tho , lead at the next Btation, Warsaw. Four ! British pilots were among ten competitors who left Warsaw for Koenigsborg before noon to-day.
