NEW BRITISH AIRLINERS

RUGBY, 11th July. Sis British air liners of the latest type have been ordered by the Belgian Government for air lines in the , Congo. These machines are of the type ' which is known as the Westland Wessex. They, are triple-engined monoplanes, driven by three Genet-Major engines, giving a total horse-power of 300. Accommodation is provided for s'passengers, pilot, and navigator, and the machine with a full load can fly with any one of its three engines stopped. It is to Be used over long tracts of jungle, where a forced landing would be particularly unpleasant-
