The wind was a light south-westerly, and showers fell in the afternoon Fine and bright weather was again, Wellington g lot a light shower in tho late evomng amounting to one solitary point of ram- \ cold south-westorly wind blew in. Christchurch, the-weather early in the day being finer than that experienced later. Unsettled, cold, and_ showery, weather prevailed in Dunediri. J Light to' moderate southerly winds are forecasted for the week-end. Fine weather should be general for some days, although there may still be showers on the coast between Napi?r ana East Cape, and at times in the nmliiorn and southern extremities of the Do. minion. Temperatures in tho daytime may be expected to bo rather warmer^ but cold nighta aro still likely.
