HAMILTON, This Day. ] Whare Matani, who was sentenced this morning in the Supremo Court to two years' hard labour and declared an habitual criminal, attempted to break away from the police escort on leaving the Court to be taken to a cell, and it took the combined efforts of several warders and policemen to handcuff him. While struggling on the ground the prisoner declared^ that he did not care if they hanged him.
