Features. o£ the senior A; hockey competition-, games played on Saturday were the decisive. defeat of Wellington by V.M.C.A. and the draw between Wesley and' Karon. The Wellington players, almost without exception, failed to reproduce anything like their previous matchwinning ■' fprni, and Young Men, having once;gained a substantial lead, gave their opponents .little opportunity of overhauling, them. Wesley played splendid hockey against ■ Karori, and the Blacks, despite strenuous efforts in the final stages, were unable to take the lead... The Hutt-Uni-versity game at the Hutt Recreation Ground resulted in a win for the home team by 2 goals to nil. Senior B winners were Training College, Karori, University A, Hutt A, and Hutt B.
