MUSICIAN'S DISTINCTION
It is no moan distinction to have appeared as soloist with Sir Henry Wood, the famous conductor of the Queen's Hall Orchestra, This has been Mie experience on several occasions of V[r. Ernest Jenuer, director of music at the Kelburn '.training College, who is to appear with tho Philharmonic Orchestra on Saturday night as- soloist in the Grieg pianoforto concerto. Mr. Jenner, who came to Wellington two years ago to take up his official, position under the Education Department, had valuable experience—practical as well as theoretical —in the principal centres of music at Home. Ho-.'was soloist on about a dozen occasions under the baton of Sir Henry Wood at Queen's Hall, London, and also at Liverpool. At one concert ■ he played the, pianoforte part in the iirst performance in England of Sehrcker's Chamber Symphony, at Queen's Hall.
