FORECAST.
Winds.—Moderate to fresh between west and north-west at first, but a change to aoutherlies setting in shortly in the soutli and extending gradually northwards over the South Island. Barometer.—Falling at first, but rising later over the South Island. Seas.—Generally smooth to moderate, but rising south of Cape Egmont and later south of Kaikoura. Tides.—Moderate generally. Warning Signal for a southerly gale is exhibited at the Nuggets. Weather.—Unsettled with showers, at first mainly in western districts, but later in other parts. Temperatures milder, but a cold change shortly in. the south.
