PRISONERS SENTENCED

Prisoners were sentenced in the Hamilton Supreme Court this morning by Mr. Justio Herdman. .August Herman Demlcr, found guilty of dangerous driving of a car, so as to cause the death of Norman Steven Bradley, was fined £100. His driver's licence was cancelled for three years. Bone JFairama, found guilty of shooting another Maori so as to cau3e grievous bodily harm, was sentenced to three years' reformative treatment. Wharo Matangi, with a long list of convictions, was sentenced to two years' hard labour for theft of a horse and declared an habitual criminal Joseph Powell was fined £50, with costs'£2l, for bookinalung at Huntly. Walter John Butters, a youth of 18 years, was sentenced to reformative treatment for three years for' indecent assault on a girl five years", of ago at Morrinsville. For robbery with violence at Hiintly, Donald Hayward, aged 27 years, was sentenced to twelve months' hard labour and rfformative detention for a further two years. James Walter Barr Brown, of Putnruru, a Coroner and Justice of the Peace, who pleaded guilty to two charges of indecent assault on boys, was sentenced to reformative treatment for five years. Robert Edward Young was Sentenced to reformativ-e detention for Vhre-e years for an unnatural offence- at Hamilton. ■ . .
