ROAD ACCIDENTS
CONFERENCE TO-MORROW
The causes of the alarming increase in motor accidents in New Zealand, and ways and means of preventing such mishaps, will be discussed at a representative conference of interested bodies and Government Departments, to be keld at the Transport Department's offices to-morrow. The Commissioner of Transport (Mr. J. S. Hunter) will preside, and the proceedings will be formally opened by the ex-Minister of Transport (the Hon. W. A. Veitch), who was instrumental in calling the conference. Eepreseutation will be as follow: — Municipal Association of New Zealand, Mr. E. P. Hawkes; Main Highways Board and Public Works Department, Mr. Tyndall; Third Party Motor Insurance Pool, Mr. R. Caughley; North Island Motor Union Mutual Insurance, Messrs. I. V. Wilson and C. E. C. Robieson; service car proprietors, Mr. J. C. Gallagher; Railway Department, Mr. H. ■ 11.
