Miss Johnson's parting message" was: "I shall never forget the .marvellous crowds, the hospitality, and the wonderful gifts bestowed upon me. I am. just done up. My brain has refused' to work, and is just abont breaking down. I hope to return to Sydney for the opening of your colossal harbour bridge two years hence:" Eeferring to the "Daily Mail" contract, Miss Johnson said her remuneration was £.10,000 and no more. "I expect I shall have to earn every penny of it."
