WIRELESS APPARATUS

PROTEST IN AUSTRALIA

(Eeceived 14th June, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day.

The Secretary of tho Chamber of Manufactures, Mr. Edwards, . stated that the wireless apparatus that had been on order,abroad by the Post-master-General's Department could be made in Australia, but local companies were not given a chance to quote for orders, which! involve an amount of about £200,000. Australians had made for New Zealand the apparatus required there in competition with the rest of the world.
