RABBITSKIN SALES.

Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., and ike JSew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on the third Wellinoton sale' of rabbitskins:—Offerings comprised mainly summers, springs, and autumns, with a fair proportion of winter grades. Reports of recent London sales have been disappointing, there bcinc a poor demand with heavy withdrawals. The market showed a drop of from 5 per cent, to 25 per. cent., and this was reflected at the Wellington sale. There are very large stocks of skins still unsold iv London, and until these are disposed of any improvement hi- the market cannot be looked for. Buyers at the Wellington sale to-day did not feel inclined to purchase any quantity, and to make sales it was necessary to sell at lower rates than the May sale. The following is \thts range of prices: Runnel's and suckers, to lOd; summers, 7%d to lOd; light racks, lS%d to, lSd; prime racks, to 16% d; dawny autumns, 16% d to 16% d; early autumns, 15d to 19% d; late autumns, 16&<i to 2-lI,id; autumns, to 20% d; inc. vruiters, 23% dto 29d; early winters, 31d to S4%d; spotted -.yinters, 17Hd to 21% d. Winter grades did not realise our ideas of values and were passed. We purpo«« offering these at tlu July sale. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having received a cable from their head ofliee, giving a range of prices on the sales recently held in London.
