Tripp, A. Gray, K. C; D. J. M'Gowan, Lieut-Col. G. Mitchell, Sir Johu Luke, Colonel 0. G. Powles, Mrs. K. Preston, Messrs. I-I. V. Von Haast, and T. Ward; lion, general secretary, Mr. E. 13. Muir; assistant lion, general secretary, Lieut.Colonel 11. E. Avery. Wellington District Council.—President, Mr. H. F. Johnston, K.C.; vice-presi-dents', Professor J. S. Tennant, Mrs. J. P. Firth; members, Messrs. C. A. L. Treadwell, R. Darroch (secretary Navy League), Col. G. T. Hall (president Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association), A. R. Atkinson, Captain M. S. Galloway (secretary Red Cross Society), P. C. Watt, A. P. Harper (secretary Welfare League), Captain Martin Roberts, T. C. A. Hislop (president Wellington Aero Club), J. I. Goldsmith (secretary South African Veterans' Association), Mrs. J. Pow, and Lieut.-Colonel W. 11. Cunningham, with power to add to their number. The General Council is responsible for the League's policy, general educational work, and the promotion of tho League throughout New Zealand, while the Wellington District Council is responsible for the local organisation aud general educational work.

The membership fee of the League has been fixed at 2s <sd per annum, and considerable numbers have already been enrolled. Active steps are now being taken for the immediate establishment of the League in Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, Palmerston North, Hawke's Bay, Waugauui, Bawera o and New Plymouth..
