The annual report of the City, Ambulance was received and Two candidates'were initiated and an* other proposed for membership. The quarterly meeting of Loyal Sister Wallis Lodgs, M.U., was held last week, Sister Bedell, N.G., presiding over a large attendance. The election of officers va: suited as follows:—N.G., Sister E. Bell;; V.G., Sister E. Johns; E.S., Sister Reynard; warden, Sister D. Douglas; guardian,. Sister Smith; conductor, Sister N. Douglas; assistant conductor, Sister Brown;! pianist, Sister Davis. Bros. Wainwright, Briekman, and Bland were present" for the purpose of judging for the ritual shield and Turner merit jewels. The case of a distressed brother was discussed and help was given. At the last meeting of the Loyal Britannia Lodge, Manchester Unity, Bro. tL, L. Mac Duff presided. Four new members were initiated, while twenty were reported on the sick list. Lodge honours were accorded the District Grand Master, Bro. Couper, and his officers, who installed the following:—N.G., Bro. J. H. Davidson;] V.G., Bro. J. G. Harper; E.S. ; Bro. J. W. Harper; warden, Bra. J. S.Riddick; guardian, Bro. Egginton. The quarterly meeting of Loyal Antw podean Lodge, M.U., was held last week, Bro. E. Berry, N.G., presiding. Bro. Aitken, P.G.M., from Auckland, honoured the lodge with his attendance. An appeal on behalf of a sick brother was reserved and a vote of £lO 10s was passed, and close on £7 was received from members present. The election of officers for the ensuing term resulted as follows:—Bro. E. Berry, 1.P.N.G.; Bro. E. Partridge, N.G.J Bro. M. Shennan, V.G.; Bro. Sutton, E.S.J Bro. Body, guardian; Bro. Fraer, warden g Bro. G. Craddoek, conductor; Bro. N, Smith, lecturemaster. . Thero was a good attendance at the half-yearly meeting of Loyal Mangatin« oka Lodge, M.U., which took place recently, Bro. F. J. Martin presiding. Accounts amounting to £SO 16s lid were passed for payment. A letter of _ appeal was received from the District in con* nection with a case of distress, in response to which a sum of £5 was voted, L.M. Bro. Kitchen delivered the gold d(* gree to several members. P.G. Bro. H._A. : Bick read a lengthy and very interesting 1 article tracing the original and history of the Order, for which he was accorded a vote of. thanks.
