SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS. j While a slight anti-cyclone has remained practically str/ionery east of tho Dominion, slnco yesterday a shallow cyclone has moved southwards from the northern Tasman Sea, and this morning was centred near Puysegur Point. Scattered rain has fallen north of Auckland, and also about Gisborne, Cape Egmont, and Puysegur Point, but otherwise tho weather has been generally fair. Temperatures have gradually become milder, although last night wa3 cold, with further frosts at many places, more especially In tho South Island. Winds between east and north have ruled, light to moderato mostly, but fresh at times in the far north. TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
