RUGBY FOOTBALL

CHAMPIONSHIP TABLES

OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES

At the present time the Wellington Hugby Union's lower ■ grade competitions are at an interesting stage. No team has a big lead, but from now on possibly bigger gaps will be opened up in some of the grades. At any rate, the points records to date of several teams point that way. For instance, Petone A, in the fourth grade, have scored 155 points, and to date have had none registered against them. The Wellington fifth grade team, with its record of 149 points fo. and none against, also appears to be a particularly strong team, and the Miramar seventh grade team, which has scored 130 points in, two games, has shown also that it is a. heavy-scoring side. There are teams, too, which have fine records. A notable feature of the tables is the good position occupied by most of the Petone teams. - In the club championship competition, Wellington at present are in the lead with 55 points, and, then, after Petone, who have 49 points, there are five teams with.only a point difference in the records of each.

Details of the championship competitions and the club championship table are as. follow:—
