, Miss Amy Johnson spent last night at Alexandria station. She continued her flight, accompanied by a Quantas aeroplane, this morning. She landed at Cloncurry at 12.30 p.m., taking tha town by surprise. Only five persons were at the aerodrome.,- She left for Longreach at 1.15 p.m.'

On landing at Longreach,, she had. a chat over the long-distance telephone, with the Lord Mayor of Brisbane.
