LANDINGS ON THE WAY
I SYDNEY, 27 th May.
, Miss Amy Johnson spent last night at Alexandria station. She continued her flight, accompanied by a Quantas aeroplane, this morning. She landed at Cloncurry at 12.30 p.m., taking tha town by surprise. Only five persons were at the aerodrome.,- She left for Longreach at 1.15 p.m.'
On landing at Longreach,, she had. a chat over the long-distance telephone, with the Lord Mayor of Brisbane.
Shoals of congratulatory messages await the aviatrix's arrival in. Sydney, ono of the latest being from Mr. F. C. Chichesier, of New Zealand.
