FOR CIVILIANS

SCHNEIDER CUP 'PLANES-

LONDON, 20th May

Tho aeronautical expert of the "Evening News" states that the Air Ministry has intimated that it will loan the Schneider Cup racing 'planes to any approved concern for entry in the next Schneider Cup contest, provided they are insured for £20,000 each.

Royal Air Force officers will not be allowed to compete. The decision definitely affects England's chances of victory in 1931. A private concern is unlikely to be able to keep the necessary number of civilian pilots for the requisite strict training.
