An Australian business man who is a visitor to Paris was instrumental in exposing an American, John Denvir," of Cleveland, who was posing as the Prince of Wales, to whom he bears a strong resemblance, which was heightened by make-up and dress mannerisms. Denvir appeared at theatres and on tho boulevards.

The Australian challenged him, saying: "I do not know who you are or where you come from; but you are a low blackguard, trying to bring discredit on the name of a man whose boots you are not fit to black. lam old enough to be your grandfather, but if you are a man at all, stand up!" Denvir rose to his feet to call a policeman, but before he had done so, the indignant Australian struck, out, Denvir took the count, lying back on the roadway. On his recovery he insisted that tho Australian- be arrested. Tho upshot was that the police asked Denvir to give up masquerading. He refused, whereupon he was deported.
