John Bradbury was going better than Tembroney at the end of a good six-fur-longs run. . Caveman and Ballance finished together at the end o£ six furlongs, the last five taking 68sec. . Antrim Boy, who has never looked better, did two rounds at three-quarter pace. Strongbow and Captivate , finished together at the ,end of six furlongs an Imm 22see. Pink Note rah right away from Money Mine-in a gallop over nine furlongs, and was going well at the. finish; time 2mm 6sec. Pink Note 'has come on a lot since he raced at Riverton, and will run .prominently in the Birthday Handicap on Saturday. ■■ " . , Leading Boy and Crossbow ran six tmlongsr" the' last half-mile taking 54 3-ssec. Wingatui jumped off. at the mile post, and Smithereens joined in at the. end of a furlong. The latter was going much the better of the pair at the post, which was reached in lmin 49 3-ssec for the mile. Black Duke did three-quarter pace work on the inside track. He looks very well. Ravine gave Royal Flower weight and a beating over six. furlongs m Imm-^i Haulage's sister easily beat Captain's Gift over half' a mile, just inside 5-lsec. The Riccarton jockey G. H. Humphries will ride Camisader in the Birthday Handicap, and J. M. Dooley will-lie on Money Mine. The latter will also ride Top .Speed, Meitm, and Tardy., .b. P Hunt will ride Red Heather in the Hunters' Steeplechase; This horses^is working well, and after his good exhibition of jumping on Saturday morning he has only to stay the' two mi es and. a half to be very dangerous at the rimsn.
