Detective-Sergeant Tricklebank said that Jarvie became friendly with: the complainant, who left, his shop, thus giving the accused an opportunity to steal the watch and chain. " The chain was sold for 7s and the watch for 15s.'
'You have a, long criminal list, some of it for very serious charges," said'the Magistrate, in sentencing the-accused to six months', imprisonment.
