CONCERN AT NELSON

DESIRE FOR A MATCH

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

NELSON, 27th May.

At the weekly meeting of the Nelson Rngby Union management committee, several members expressed dissatisfaction at no definite reply yet being received from the New Zealand Kugby Union regarding the British team's match a?t Nelson. \

One member thought tbat'the New Zealand Union was."sitting tight" to sec how the tour was going to turn out financially before it considered whether Nelson would have a match or not.

It was decided to send the president to Wellington on 3rd June, in company with representatives from the Marlborough and Golden Bay-Motueka Unions, to ask the controlling authority for a definite decision. I'niling that, it is intended to approach the, manager of the British team on the matter.
