When Siguor Mussolini mounted the rostrum in the Piazza of the Milan Cathedral, the streets, windows, and xoofs/\vero black with people. Evou the gargoyles of the cathedral were festooned with humanity.
Signor Mussolini said that; his hearers would not expect him to supplement his Florence speech, upon which he had meditated for a long time before it was pronounced. He had made it his purpose not. to allow the Italian people to ? be lulled to sleep by bleating sheep which really were wolves. To. thoso who accused him of'not behaving in a Ministerial style he retorted that Fascism was. a revolution,, and "I'm, tho head and creator of an insurrection."
In tho course of his Florence, speech which was delivered fit a Fascists' gathering, 'Signor Mussolini said: "There are people .who think they can isolate Italy and who would not be averse to starting war against tho Italian people, even through the-territory of a third Power. We await them at, the crossing. Though words are beautiful things, nuiehine-guns, ships, and aeroplanes - are still more beautiful. Right is a vain word unless acconrpanied by might." ■ . . ■ .
