IMPROVEMENTS TO SCHOOLS

The work of remodelling and adding to the Paraparaumu School has now been begun by the contractors, Messrsi Bacon and Barlow. During the progress of the contract, which involves alteration to all the rooms, th,e school will be accommodated in temporary premises. Plans for similar'alterations and additions to the Wadestown School are nearing completion, and tenders will be called very shortly. The Educatidn Board 'lias been recently in negotiation with the Education Department with a view to the,construction of a septic lank at Koputaroa School, and a grant has been approved which, with a local contribution and the contribution of, the board, ~yill enable the work-to be undertaken, - •
