PETONE'S FIELD DAY
Petone teams had a great run of successon Rugby football fields, on Saturday. There were eight teams in action and all of them won their games, registering a total of 196 points against an aggregate of only 32 points by opposing teams. The club's record for' the day was:—Senior team v. Poneke, won by 20' points to 9; junior v. Poneke, won by 13 to 9; third v. University C, won by 18 to 0; fourth A v Melrose; won by 31 to 0; fourth,B v. Eastbourne, won by 6 to 3; fifth v. Onslow, won by :23 to 8; sixth y. Melrose, won by 28 to 0; sevonth v. Oriental, won by 57 to 3. For the fourth A grade team tries were scored by H. May (2), K. Bosvell (2), Clayton, Beban, Bryant, M'Kegney and M'Gurk, two- being converted by J O'Connell. Tries for the .fifths were scored by Ashton (2), Cleland, O'Leary, Spence, and Reed, and for the sixths Leopard scored five tries. Among other good individual performances was that of Walker in scoring four tries for the seniors.
