WANGANUI, This Day,

An appeal for lower costs of production and decreased tariffs on necessities was contained in an address this morning by the Dominion president of the Farmers' Union, Mr. W. J. Poison, M.P., to the delegates of the inter-provincial conference.

The. address was on similar lines to those delivered by him in the South Island.
