The Superintendant (Mr. J. Creeke) reported to the Fire Board yesterday that during April there were 19 property fires, 4 chimney fires, and 54 gorse and rubbish fires, a total of 77. There were 90 alarms, 13 of which were false, but 5 of these were justifiable.
