ANGLICAN BOYS' HOME

YEAR'S WORK REVIEWED

The annual meeting of the Anglican Boy's Homes Society was1 held on Wednesday, Bishop Sprott presiding. Iv proposing the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, Mr. Henderson (the president), said that the society had had heavy expenditure during the year in repairs and renovations to the Sedgeley Home, Masterton, and in many replacements at Lower Hutt. The Sedgely Home had been put into such a good state that it was not anticipated such expenditure would be required'again for a long time. Bishop Sprott congratulated the committee on another successful year. He referred to the loss they had sustained at the retirement of Mr. and Mrs. Hezeltine, who had been in charge of the home at Lower Hutt. The work of looking after other people's children was most anxious and arduous, and he was surprised that Mrs. Hezeltine had been able to keep office for so long. They were glad to hear that her health was improving. Mr. and Mrs. Chaytor, tlieiv successors, had already done good work at Masterton. He also referred to the loss sustained by the society in the death of Mrs. Hugh Beetham. Mr. Henderson reported on the use of the money received from the estate of the late Mr. James Gray, which would be invested for the homes. . The following officers were elected :— President, Mr. J.
