BAD CASE AT ASHBURTON

John Crowe was sentenced to fourteen clays' hard labour and was forbidden to have a driving licence for three years, for" being intoxicated while in. charge of a car. The police stated that in Tinwald the defendant's car came in contact with a perambulator containing a child. Tho child was slightly injured. The following day the car was found badly smashed on the road at Lismore. The' defendant was intoxicated, with 'liquor in, the car.
