RECORD FOR SEASON
NEW SCHOOL FOR DOVEDALE
(From Our Own Correspondent.) NELSON, 21st May
The fruit export season ended to-day. Tho season has been a record one for Nelson, the number of eases exported being over 100,000 more than in the previous record season of 1928. Cabinet has approved of a grant for the erection of a new school at Dovedale.
Mr.-J. Corder was yesterday unani mously re-elected chairman of the Wai' mea Electric Power Board.
Miss E. M. Arnold, nursing sister of tho Boys' College at Nelson for the past two years, has severed her connection with the college on account of her approaching marriage. The boarders and staff expressed their regret at her departure, and presented'her with a rug and solid leather suitcast suitably inscribed. Sister Arnold has many friends both in Nelson and Wellington, where she was on the staff of the Public Hospital from 1919 to 1923. It is reported that Jack Steel, tho footballer, is coming to Nelson to take over a city hotel.
